Queen Angelfish Facts

The queen angelfish (Holacanthus ciliaris) is one of the most striking fishes found in the western Atlantic coral reefs. Their large flat bodies are of a brilliant blue color with vivid yellow-accented scales and a bright yellow tail. They are often confused with blue angelfish (H. bermudensis), but the queens are distinguished by a navy blue patch located above the eyes at the center of the head, which is freckled with light blue spots and resembles a crown. Fast Facts: Queen Angelfish Scientific Name: Holacanthus ciliaris  Common Names: Queen Angelfish, Angelfish, Golden Angelfish, Queen Angel, Yellow AngelfishBasic Animal Group: FishSize: 12–17.8 inchesWeight: Up to 3.5 poundsLifespan: 15 yearsDiet: OmnivoreHabitat: Western Atlantic ocean coral reefs, from Bermuda to central BrazilPopulation: UnknownConservation Status: Least Concern Description The body of the queen angelfish (Holacanthus ciliaris) is highly compressed and its head is blunt and rounded. It has one long dorsal fin along its top, dorsal and anal fins, and a range of between 9–15 spines and soft rays. Blue and queen angelfish look even more alike as juveniles, and the two species can and do interbreed. Researchers believe that the entire population in Bermuda may consist of hybrid blue and queen angels.   On average, queen angelfish grow to around 12 inches in length, but they can grow up to 17.8 inches and weigh up to 3.5 pounds. They have small mouths with slender brush-like teeth in a narrow band that can be protruded outward. Although they are primarily blue and yellow, different regional populations sometimes have different color variations, such as occasional gold coloration, and black and orange blotches. Queen angelfish are of the Perciformes order, the Pomacanthidae family, and the Holacanthus genus.   Colorful Queen Angelfish, Bonaire, Caribbean Netherlands. The queen is most abundant in the Caribbean Sea, but can be found in tropical western Atlantic waters ranging from Bermuda to Brazil and from Panama to the Windward Islands. It occurs at depths between 3.5–230 feet below the surface.   The fish do not migrate, but they are most active during the day and are most commonly found near the bottom of coral reef habitats, from the nearshore shallows down to the deepest part of the reef where limited light inhibits coral growth. They are predominantly marine but can adapt to different salinities as needed, which is why the species is often seen in marine aquariums.   Diet and Behavior Queen angelfish are omnivores, and although they prefer sponges, algae, and bryozoans, they also eat jellyfish, corals, plankton, and tunicates. Apart from the courtship period, they are generally observed moving in pairs or singly year-round: some research suggests they are pair-bonded and monogamous.   During the juvenile stage (when they are about 1/2 inch long), queen angelfish larvae set up cleaning stations, where larger fish approach and allow the much smaller angelfish larvae to clean them of ectoparasites. These pre-spawning groups are typically made up of a ratio of one male to four females, and the males court the females. Males flaunt their pectoral fins and the females respond by swimming upward. The male uses his snout to make contact with her genital area, and then they touch bellies and swim upward together to a depth of about 60 feet, where the male releases sperm and the female releases eggs into the water column.   Females can produce anywhere from 25,000 to 75,000 transparent and buoyant eggs during one evening event; and as many as 10 million per spawning cycle. After spawning, there is no further parental involvement. The eggs are fertilized in the water column and then hatch out within 15–20 hours, as larvae lacking working eyes, fins or gut. The larvae live on yolk sacs for 48 hours, after which they have developed enough to begin feeding on plankton. They grow rapidly and after three to four weeks they reach about one-half inch long when they sink to the bottom and live in coral and finger sponge colonies. They are used as part of the commercial aquarium trade. They are not typically a food fish, in part because they are associated with the phenomenon of ciguatera poisoning which is caused by fish eating other toxic creatures and keeping a reservoir of toxins which may be passed on to human consumers.  Ã‚   Sources Feeley, M. Divine Intervention Between Aeneas And Aschises - 2082 Words

In the Aeneid, Virgil includes multiple aspects of divine intervention between Aeneas and many characters like Dido, Turnas, and Aschises. Many of these interactions seem like they determine the characters fate; but fate is predetermined. Aeneas has a prophecy, that he will found Rome and it will be a great Empire for hundreds of years. The goddesses Juno and Venus interfere with his journey multiple times, but in the end he does indeed found Rome, despite their interferences. This is strategically done by Virgil to represent Augustus and to create Pietas for the Roman citizens. Augustus commissioned Virgil to write the Aeneid. Augustus wanted the people of Rome to know what a great empire it is, and how it was founded by god-like figures, and that it was the gods and goddesses choice that the fate of Rome came about how it was that day. A flaw in Augustus’s plan erupted when Virgil dies, and requests the Aeneid be destroyed. This act implies that Virgil does not believe in wh at he wrote, and thinks divine intervention and fate is false. Virgil’s audience believed in virtues like pietas and stoicism, but often does not live by these ideals. The same goes for Rome’s fate though the Aeneid. They believed that it is a great empire founded by the will of the gods, but that fact does not change anything in most of the Roman’s daily lives; therefore it does not change their fate either. Aeneas is faced with many different challenges during his journey to found, what will become

Starting a Music Academy Business Loans

Question: Discuss about theStarting a Music Academy for Business Loans. Answer: Introduction Research options for getting small business loans. Develop a list of at least five different, realistic options for getting financial backing for your business. Recall that you will need $100,100 the first year alone, and you are still short of $30,000. Include the sources of the 5 funds, interest rates, payment arrangements, etc. Document your results in a two- to three-page paper, including a recommendation on which option to pursue. Capital is a major concern while staring a business. I considered a number of sources for capital. The first source I considered was from my parents and other family members. Its almost a guarantee that I can get a small loan of up to $3,000 dollars from my parents with no interest requirement during payment. Also it is not likely for them to issue a time limit for the repayment of the loan so that would be a good and viable source of funds. Another source of capital for the business could be from venture capital firms. This might be especially difficult to get as I have to convince the venture capital firms that my business is worth investing into. One likely venture capital firm is Australian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association Limited (AVCAL). One major requirement is that for them to invest in a business the business take advantage of digital marketing and sales. In this regard, I have decided to open a website for this that will explain what the music academy is all about, its vision and mission. From this firm I look forward to getting around a $10000 financing. (AVCAL, 2016). Another way of getting capital is from business administration offices in the country. One such administrative office is the Business Victoria. From their sponsored websites, the most ideal would be from Get business Sponsored which only charges a variable interest rate of 0.75% per month (Get Finance, 2016). Hence the accumulated interest would not be too much to repay. Taking a loan of $8,000 would accumulate interest of $720 after a year. I look forward to sustainable revenues after two years and plan to make arrangements with the firm after two years whereby the accumulated debt would be $9440. Am also considering to get a loan from banks. A loan of $5000 would be great. Assuming a 7.5% per month (Canster, 2016) interest rate for a period of 2 years, the cumulative debt would be $14000. Part of the payment could come from the music academy assuming its making money by then. If not, I could use my car as collateral. I could also get the remaining ($4000) amount by taking a loan from my friends. If I am not able to repay the debt from profits from the business one way of repaying the amount would be from the sale of some of my rarely used items such as old items such as phones, music players or clothes. Research options for a rental space for the music academy. Develop at least 5 alternative sites. Include a picture of the sit, if available, square footage, cost, pros and cons, etc. Document the result and make a recommendation for which site to select in a three to-four-page paper. Another important thing in starting this music company is finding an office that will be used as the base of operations. The site Commercial Real Estate provides great options (Commercial, 2016). One suitable office would be at the Colliners International. It is spacious with about 700 sq. ft. Also it is well lit with enough windows. However, it being on the ground floor means that one is able to clearly hear traffic which is a distraction. Its cost too is also high at $2000 per month. The Grosvenor Place is another great option. With offices with an average square footage of 800 sq. ft. it is very spacious. The cost of the office is also relatively low at $1200. However, there is no elevator which makes using the stairs inconveniencing. Then there is the Cadigal. It is relatively cheap too at $1000 and is also spacious at 800 sq. ft. However, it being far from the city center may make delivery of various goods to the business difficult. There is also the offices at Mirvac. There is minimal traffic in the area so there will be minimal distractions and the monthly rent is also relatively cheap at $800 per month. However, it is not spacious at only 400 sq. ft. Finally, there are the offices at 580 George Street. They are very spacious at 1000 sq. ft. and are located in a serene surrounding. However, the offices here are very expensive at $1500 a month. Taking all these into consideration, offices at the Grosvenor Place seem like the best option. They are not expensive and are spacious. A lack of an elevator is a small price to pay for that.
